  • Is it safe to touch my art print?
Handle your prints with extreme care and Always with CLEAN, DRY hands. Oils and moisturizers from fingertips, while may not be seen at the moment, will transfer to the paper and become visible over time. Always handle by the border edge, Not the printed surface. Be sure that all surfaces, such as, countertops and tables, are clean when preparing to frame the artwork yourself.
  • How can I protect my art print until it gets framed?
Prints should be kept covered with layers of acid-free tissue or glassine paper. *You may also use copy paper in a pinch; A cost effective acid-free barrier. Prints should always be stored in an archival box, or a flat surface area; free from humidity.
  • Do art prints come with a border?
Most of my work is designed with a border, making art prints easier to handle AND frame. It provides room for the matting you choose and extra space for hinging the artwork. The border can also be used as its own visual matte, BUT spacers or archival photo corner tabs should be used to keep the print from touching the glazing (glass). Note: Providing no room for the print to breathe will cause it to eventually stick to glass and cause humidity within the print.
  • Can I frame my art print without a matte?
Yes, If you have an artwork that is the same size as your frame opening, and you choose NOT use a matte to protect your art print, you may use spacers or archival photo corner tabs to keep the print from touching the glazing (glass). ⚠️Warning: If your art print is kept in direct contact with the glass, this will cause possible damage later...providing no room for the print to breathe. This will eventually cause the art print to stick to the glass, making removal or reframing difficult without permanent damage.

  • What's a Watermark? and Why does my art print have one?
A physical watermark is a recognizable image or pattern that is embedded into a physical document, such as paper, to identify the owner, prevent unauthorized duplication, or add a decorative effect. Watermarks are often semi-transparent and placed over the original content so that they do not obstruct the view. I personally hand-stamp each print with a tiny Dragonfly watermark in the bottom right corner of the border. This special touch ensures it came from the Me, the artist. The ink is acid-free, iridescent, and not obvious...you really have to know where to look to see it shimmer.
